「 běn 」 shì zài mù de xiàbù jiā le yīhéng ， zhǐ shùgēn ， suǒyǐ 「 gēnběn 」 hé 「 jīběn 」 dōu gēn shùgēn yǒu guānxì 。

「本」是在木的下部加了一横，指树根，所以「根本」和「基本」都跟树根有关系。
